Cauliflower is a vegetable that belongs to Brassica oleracea species. Seed is used for reproducing the annual plant. Cauliflower resembles broccoli, but has white edible flesh known as curd. The flower bud is cut into chunks that are combined with potatoes for making cauliflower vegetable dish. Other than this, it can be added as toppings in pizza, one of the many vegetables in noodles, pasta, soups, salads, etc. It can also be consumed raw, as well as cooked by sautéing, roasting or steaming. One cup of cauliflower can provide fiber, vitamins (vitamin C, K, B6, folate and pantothenic acid), and minerals (potassium, manganese, magnesium and phosphorus).
